| Vibeke Jensen is a Norwegian artist based in New York.
The international, experimental and interdisciplinary spirit at the Architectural
Association School of Architecture in London gave birth to her artistic
practice. This year her work has been exhibited at the Bronx Museum, James
Nicholson Gallery and Smack Mellon in New York City, E:vent_Gallery in
London, Rogaland Art Museum, Sogn og Fjordane Art Museum and Galleri F
15 in Norway. She has had several solo shows in Norway, Beijing, Bogotá,
New York and Trieste. |

| Field of work |
| Jensen works in the interstices between photography,
video and installations that transform the exhibition space and challenge
viewers to explore different points of view. She is obsessed with looking
and looking devices. Many of her projects deal with the pleasures and fears
of watching and being watched as she challenges viewers to explore different
positions of peeping, voyeurism and surveillance. She poses questions of
who is watching whom, and invites the public to actively observe themselves
and others. |
